TX-14 - Electrical STEM Kit - Electric Fan

Electric Fan (TX-14) ⭐ · ~15 min

⚡ Principle The motor converts electrical energy into mechanical energy, spinning the soft blades at high speed. This movement accelerates the air flow, creating the cooling breeze we feel.

🔩 Parts

  • Wooden base + bracket

  • High-speed motor ×1

  • Three-leaf soft fan blade ×1

  • Power switch ×1

  • Battery holder ×1

  • Foam adhesive ×1 + wires

📋 Steps

  1. Assemble the wooden base of the electric fan as shown.

  2. Stick the battery holder under the base with foam adhesive and install the switch on the side.

  3. Connect the red wire from the battery holder to the switch interface.

  4. Assemble the protective bracket (the cage) for the fan.

  5. Install the assembled bracket onto the base.

  6. Connect the black wire and the extension wire to the motor through the small hole.

  7. Install the wooden fixing piece on the back of the motor.

  8. Finally, install the three-leaf soft fan blade onto the motor shaft.

  9. Install two AA batteries, flip the switch, and enjoy the breeze!

⚡ Fun Fact! Fans don't actually cool the air in a room! They cool you by helping the moisture on your skin evaporate faster, which carries heat away from your body.

💚 Tip The blades are made of soft material for safety. If they arrive slightly bent, just gently flatten them with your fingers so they spin without vibrating.
